Job Brief
Experience The Twin Cities is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Social Media Manager to create and manage engaging content on our social media platforms and create monthly customer emails.
If you enjoy the Twin Cities and its food and history, are skilled at creating engaging visual and written content, and have experience growing brand awareness and sales through social media, we would like to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regular social media content (at least 1-2 posts per week) on our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others as needed)
- Create engaging photo, video, and written content that captures the personality and energy of our tours
- Create monthly customer emails via MailChimp to send to targeted customer groups
- Create graphics to support social media and email content needs
- Manage online community engagement and message replies
- Help launch new tours as needed through social media resources, including coordinating VIP / influencer tours, collaborating with tour partners, social media promotions and ads, and more
- Attend occasional tours to capture content
- Initiate monthly check-in calls to review activities and progress
- Recommend and manage additional social media / online communications platforms if identified
- Execute a consistent brand experience by knowing and embodying the ETTC brand and tours
- Act as an energetic, highly engaging extension of the ETTC brand when communicating with customers or attending a tour
- Tell our story in a consistent, visually appealing, and energetic fashion
Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- Flexible schedule (~15-20 hours per month, can vary by season)
- 2+ years of proven experience in social media management and content creation
- Familiarity with MailChimp, Canva, Meta Business Suite and Ad Manager, and Google Drive preferred
- Outstanding communication skills
- Confident working independently and self-managing responsibilities and deadlines
- Professional attitude
- Focused on attention to detail, taking initiative, and creating a positive working environment
- Knowledge of and passion for the Twin Cities
Wages & Perks
- 1099 / independent contractor
- $25-$35 hourly
