VIKING CRUISES HOTEL HOST
Stationed in a hotel lobby, your role is a Concierge for Viking Cruises guests. Though the hotel has its own Concierge, you are the Minneapolis/St Paul expert specifically for Viking guests. You will work in conjunction with the Viking Cruises Airport Meet & Greet Supervisor, Motor Coach Driver, and Tour Guide on certain days. Duties
- Be available and visible in hotel lobby during scheduled hours
- Host the Welcome Reception and Welcome Walk for guests
- Distribute area maps and visitor guides as requested
- Recommend restaurants, activities, tours
- Connect with Hotel, Porters, Airport Meet & Greet Supervisor, and Motor Coach Driver on arrival and departure days
- Assist Tour Guide in retrieving and returning materials required to run shore excursions / tours
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures related to time tracking, reports, etc

- Knowledge of offerings for guests in the area surrounding the hotel
Qualifications & Attributes
- 18 years of age or older with high school diploma or GED
- Succeeds both independently and as a team member
- Adaptable to changing situations and flexible schedules
- Ability to work with diverse populations / organizations with a high degree of professionalism
- Outgoing, friendly, fun-loving personality, and a desire to converse with new people
- Exhibits exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Possesses excellent time management and organizational skills with a focus on attention to details
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills; thinking on your feet is a must
- Knowledgeable or passionate about local restaurants, breweries, wineries, history
- Knowledgeable or passionate about Twin Cities events and happenings
Physical Demands
- Required to be able to walk and stand for up to 5 hours
- Required to climb steps / stairs
